MD Mosoro launches PNGFA website

Papua New Guinea Forest Authority (PNGFA) now has a website that was officially launched by its Managing Director Mr. John Mosoro on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at the PNGFA Headquarters in Port Moresby.

When launching the website, the Managing Director stressed its importance saying an organization without a website is in the cave ages. He went on to emphasize the importance of Information, Communication Technology (ICT) in today’s world and expressed his concern that PNGFA did not give ICT the importance it deserved.

STAFF of the National Forest Service have spoken highly of Managing Director Mr. John Mosoro for his foresightedness which is seeing numerous achievements within the short time he has been head of the organization.

New Head of FAO in PNG pays courtesy call on MD Mosoro

The new Head of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) Country Office in Papua New Guinea, Mr. BirChandra Mandal on 10th January, 2022 paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of the National Forest Service (NFS), Mr John Mosoro during which they discussed development cooperation issues of mutual interest.

Mr. Mosoro on behalf of the Forest Minister and the National Forest Board Chairman welcomed Mr. Mandal to PNGFA and PNG.

Minister Mirisim says 2022 will be challenging

Returning Minister for Forests Hon. Solan Mirisim has described 2022 as a challenging year with the forthcoming general elections but has stressed the need for staff to work together for successful outcomes.

Thanking outgoing Forest Minister Hon. Walter Schnaubelt when addressing staff at the Papua New Guinea Forest Authority (PNGFA) headquarters in Port Moresby on January 17th 2022, Minister Mirisim said: “I thank the outgoing Minister Hon. Walter Schnaubelt who has done a lot from where I left. I will continue where he left and also look at policy directions that were started but didn’t eventuate. But everything will fall into place when the directors and staff work together. The Managing Director, Board Chair and I cannot achieve on our own. All of you work with us to achieve policy directions.”
