STAFF of the National Forest Service have spoken highly of Managing Director Mr. John Mosoro for his foresightedness which is seeing numerous achievements within the short time he has been head of the organization.
During the official launching of the PNGFA website on 23rd February 2023, Chief Operating Officer Mrs. Magdalene Maihua thanked Mr. Mosoro for his foresight which has seen numerous achievements in less than two years he has been with the organization. Mrs. Maihua thanked Prime Minister James Marape and Minister for Forests Salio Waipo for Mr. Mosoro’s appointment to PNGFA, saying the Managing Director is transforming the forestry sector, with the website as one of the achievements. “This website is a very important tool for the organization as people turn to websites for information as opposed to encyclopedias. In schools, there are no encyclopedias anymore. Students go to websites to get information. For PNGFA, it will be the same. A lot of our stakeholders are asking for information, which we provide but sometimes not to their satisfaction. It will be better for them to visit our website themselves and get information to their own satisfaction. “The website will reduce negativity and controversial issues surrounding the forestry sector because the information our stakeholders and the general public require will be at their fingertips,” Mrs. Maihua said.
