ROLES FUNCTIONS OF FIELD OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE
- Monitoring and inspections on the logging activities done within a approved project area.
- Ensure the Developers (Timber Permit Holders) are harvesting our forest in a sustainable practice and in accordance with our PNG Forestry Act and Regulations
- Monitor and ensure that all monetary benefits (e.g. Landowner Timber Royalties, levies etc..) are paid
- Monitor and inspect Non-monetary Benefits are in compliance with the PNG Governments development standards (e.g.: Roads, bridges, community infrastructures, etc…
